This started out red, then I painted it black for my sons room, (that he is not in yet), and then painted it cream. It looks so much better, added new hardware.

The little door opens up, I added two shelfs to it inside. They look like crap now but they truned out really nice.
My two little helpers, they love to watch me paint.. yeah right..
This piece looks great! I can totally relate to your helpers--I have 3 boys and my latest paint project is taking FOREVER!
