My Little Baby Girl Nursery

I am really excited how it turned out. I looked and looked at so many nurserys on pinterest and one of my new favorite places www.projectdecor.com and got so many great ideas.

I had a quilt that I bought at Walmart a few years ago for $15 and loved it but didn't have a little girl so it sat in a closet until....I new I was having a girl and I knew I wanted to use it for her crib.
It is just the right amount of color and creamy white vintage-ness (if you will).See isn't it pretty.
Everything else in the room just followed after the quilt. Here is the right side of the nursery
Sorry the lighting is so different in this picture below it was taken on a different day. Here is the left side of the nursery. We had the shelving put in when we built our home and they are darling for a little girls room. (I didn't love them when this was my boys room)
The huge flowers are just scrapbook paper in a dollar store frame painted white. The letter blocks are also from the dollar store. They were UGLY red blue and yellow so I painted over them with paint that matched the room and spelled out her name.
I used burlap and stencils to do her name again on this shelf
(just in case she didn't know her name she can always look up here) hahaha.
I have had this dresser down stairs for two years. I addded some legs to make it more girlish. I had the mirror I think I got it at ROSS for like $30 and painted and distressed it cream. The flower pots are from a thrift store each a $1 added dollar store tulips. Then added a little cute petite lamp and tada! her dresser.
As you know I love these rods and just had to put one in her room. Rod Works is where I purchased it. Hung some pictures with vintage flowers and a large W.

Below is the bed ruffle I made out of muslin fabric. adds just the right amount of frillyness. I didn't do it really long because when I put the crib down I didn't want it dragging on the ground. But I might put one more row of ruffling on it.. not sure yet.

Okay so I mentioned before about an awesome site called PROJECT DECOR. Well check it out! It has everything and anything you could want for your home. Along with a place to get great ideas from designers. They have furniture, lighting, accessories and rugs.

For my nursery I got this HARRY blanket in CREME. Isn't she pretty!!! it is made of the softest cotton and has this really nice herringbone pattern. There are four colors to choose from.
Right now it is at the end of the crib but I got it to eventually go on her big girl bed.
Here is a picture of the other beautiful colors.. So go check out www.projectdecor.com but be carful you might get stuck there looking at all the great stuff and getting great ideas for you home.

Letter blocks
My mom got these hand made booties from Europe a couple of years ago and I didn't want to just shove them in a drawer. I framed them in some burlap.
I saw this on pinterest. Large cardboard letter use elmers glue and make a pattern, then paint over it. easy!

Some more accessories I made
I got these also at Rod Works they hold back her cutains.. You can also hang pictures from them.
Okay people I saved one of my most favorite things for last.
The mobil....
I got the idea from this blog... godblessournest.blogspot.com she has a tutorial and hers is way cute. but I took her idea and made it my own.
I just used a wood wreath from yep you guessed it, the dollar store I made this wreath last year and thought it would be cute as a mobil. I just cute strips of fabric and lace and tied them in nots around the wreath form. Then I used beads and pearls I had and tied them on with fishing line at different legnths.
When the sun shines through the window it will make the beads shimmer....ohhhh isn't that loverly.

That is it for now thanks for staying with me even though it has been so long since I have posted. I appreciate all your comments and kind words.
