Hello friends! I finally had time to do a post. Only because it is cold and windy outside. Otherwise I would be outside planting my garden, which is really late.
So now I have time to be on the computer.
I took some beadboard from my dad he was going to throw away! Really Dad!! Throw this away what were you thinking?? So I snarfed them up.
I cut them in 1 foot by 1 foot pieces. I used the back and placed painters tape in rows and then painted the uncovered stripes.
Here are the three I did first with the tape removed and before being sanded.
This is on my front entry table with a berry wreath and star..
I made about 6 of these in Cream, Green, and Grey. I thought it would be cute to put your child initials on them too. They are so easy!!
I cant believe your dad was going to throw away beadboard! Good thing you snatched it up because your frames are so pretty! you have such a way of making beautiful things out of the most simple things:) Love your blog:)ReplyDelete
Mary you are too sweet. I know! I freaked when my dad said he was throwing all of it away because it was too small to do anything with, well not for me. lol Thanks for visiting :)Delete
What great way to use the scraps! I love the shelf. All of the ways that you decorated with it looks great!ReplyDelete
The stripes look amazing! You have the best ideas! I'm so glad you saved the beadboard, that would have been tragic! :)ReplyDelete
Thanks Janet, your so kind. Any wood being thrown away is very tragic!Delete

Chantelle, I'm not a "stripey person", I like them, I just don't have a lot around my home. But I really like how these turned out. Thanks for stopping by.Delete
I love this idea!! I have the perfect little frame to put on a board like this, plus I LOVE your display in the last photos. I think I need to raid my in-law's garage for scraps from their remodeling. :)ReplyDelete
You totally need to go grab some wood from your in-laws! Good luck on your projects. Thanks for commenting :)
How are you? How is the home selling going? Have you moved yet? Thanks for saying hi. I love the old yellow door on the side of your house, I had three old doors sitting in my shop and decided to paint one and put in my basement after seeing how cute your was. Have a great Mothers day weekend :)
