HAPPY MONDAY!
Ok people this post is super out of my comfort zone! But I am going to be brave and feel beautiful doing it.
Ok people this post is super out of my comfort zone! But I am going to be brave and feel beautiful doing it.
I follow a few bloggers who like me are moms, wives, friends and daughters. Sometimes we see these titles as just that, titles! But the truth of the matter is we are BEAUTIFUL moms, BEAUTIFUL wives, BEAUTIFUL friend and BEAUTIFUL daughters. Sometimes we forget that.
For this reason I am joining the Brave and Beautiful Movement. Hoping that we can all remember what is truly important. Not what we look like, but who we really are.
I am Brave and Beautiful – a beauty movement that is sweeping the globe. Colbie Caillat started it with her recent song and video called TRY. “Take your make up off. Let your hair down… Look into the mirror at yourself, Do you like you? Cause I like you… “
Me along with 101+ other blogging women from different backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, ages, shapes and sizes have decided to be Brave and Beautiful! You can join in this movement too by sharing what you look like without makeup on. You don’t need a blog either! Just tag your photo with #IamBraveAndBeautiful on Instgram and search the hashtag to see who else has joined in. ALSO, if you tag it with a second hashtag – #ColbieTRY we just might be able to get Colbie Caillat’s attention since she was the inspiration behind it all! If you don’t want to share your own photo you can still do some good by SHARING this post. Facebook it, tweet it, Instagram it and Pin it. Tell your friends, tag your girlfriends, your sisters, your mom, your daughter(s)….When we share goodness it comes back to us in ways that we might not expect.
Are you brave and beautiful? I am, here I go!
Me without make-up. Really no make-up or photoshop.
I don't wear a lot of make-up but the little I do wear does a lot. I have small eyes and red lips and cheeks. I always have. I am now 32 almost 33 and I have some wrinkles! Yes people wrinkles!! It is just the way I am. There are some things about me I like and some I don't like so much. I try to think about the good things and not dwell on the bad or imperfect. I could nit pick myself all day but there are more important things for me to do. like take care of my 4 beautiful children and wonderful hubby.
I hope that as you get clicking around (links are below!) to all the other women who are being brave and sharing their own beauty you will feel a spark inside and that you follow that in the direction it takes you…. Where ever that may be for you! xo – Megan
Time to get clicking around – its a blog hop! Below are more brave and beautiful women bearing more than their natural beauty. They each have a little bit of their heart to share with you. Some get very personal. Some share stories. For some this was very hard to do yet they gathered their courage and did it anyway. We hope as you click around (and YES pin and share these different posts!) you will feel the importance of it, the empowering effect it has and that it encourages you in some way.
Important info! Blog Hops often have glitches the first day. If the link has an ERROR, simply click on the HOME button for each site, or google the blog name next to the link, and you should see their brave and beautiful post there. Links will be updated as soon as possible.

TRY by Colbie Caillat
Put your make up on
Get your nails done
Curl your hair
Run the extra mile
Keep it slim
So they like you. Do they like you? Get your sexy on
Don't be shy, girl
Take it off
This is what you want, to belong
So they like you. Do you like you? You don't have to try so hard
You don't have to give it all away
You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up
You don't have to change a single thing You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try
You don't have to try Oh Get your shopping on,
At the mall,
Max your credit cards
You don't have to choose,
Buy it all
So they like you. Do they like you? Wait a second,
Why should you care, what they think of you
When you're all alone, by yourself
Do you like you? Do you like you?
You don't have to try so hard
You don't have to give it all away
You just have to get up, get up,
get up, get up
You don't have to change a single thing You don't have to try so hard
You don't have to bend until you break
You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up
You don't have to change a single thing You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
