I already have a desk but just couldn't pass this one by. I saw it for super cheap and just couldn't help myself. I was going to paint it cream but my friends gave me a hard time for always painting things white or cream. They talked me into a sage green color that turned out nice. I didn't need another desk so I sold it to a cute girl who is going to be a teacher. I am glad it went to a good home. :)
Here is the sad desk before...And the after... much much better, I love what a good paint job can do..
The whole thing was lightly distressed to all to the detail.
I didn't have to do anything to the top other than clean it. It was in really good condition. :)
the desk turned out beautiful., love the color!

ReplyDeleteLindsay what color is this green? I have fallen in love with oatbran and foxtrot.....now I need a green too:) thanks
ReplyDeleteWas the desk solid wood? I have a desk I would like to paint, but it has that wood looking vinyl and some has come off. Do I sand it, or pill it all off?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your blog!! I found you through pinterest (your amazing sofa table) and am now looking through all your past projects! So inspiring :) can I ask if that desk you redid above was laminex? I have a desk that I want to paint but not sure if you can just paint over laminex or not?? Thanks so much for your help!
