Desk Makeover Reveal

I already have a desk but just couldn't pass this one by. I saw it for super cheap and just couldn't help myself. I was going to paint it cream but my friends gave me a hard time for always painting things white or cream. They talked me into a sage green color that turned out nice. I didn't need another desk so I sold it to a cute girl who is going to be a teacher. I am glad it went to a good home. :)
Here is the sad desk before...

And the after... much much better, I love what a good paint job can do..

I was going to replace the hardware but decided to keep with the original and am so glad, it looks nice together.
The whole thing was lightly distressed to all to the detail.
I didn't have to do anything to the top other than clean it. It was in really good condition. :)

  11. Was the desk solid wood? I have a desk I would like to paint, but it has that wood looking vinyl and some has come off. Do I sand it, or pill it all off?

  12. I absolutely love your blog!! I found you through pinterest (your amazing sofa table) and am now looking through all your past projects! So inspiring :) can I ask if that desk you redid above was laminex? I have a desk that I want to paint but not sure if you can just paint over laminex or not?? Thanks so much for your help!
