Black to Cream Mirror

I love this mirror I got at Ross forever ago to hang above my stairs but it was so dark and just not me anymore so Cream it went..

Cream with bits of black showing through..
Here it is all finnished isn't it loverly??

    I have a few mirrors and frames that I need to do the same thing to... mine aren't wood though. what paint did you use for your mirror, and did you use a primer?
